Hey, give me something to write on!

What was I saying? Oh, right... I'm the head sysop/sysadm/geek of PlanetX; the Brain-sucking rabbit is the other major geek, and we have a lot of hanger-ons. I'm a grad of Uncle Charlie's Summer Camp, but don't even ask how long it took. Some people are still wierded out, including me. I have slight connections still with UCSC; I'm thinking about doing grad work there, and I'm currently TA'ing the compiler series. Doesn't pay as much as my real job, but I do like teaching...

I'm something of a dinosaur; I first came online as of 1984, and this whole web thing still seems kind of new. It occurred to me, while writing this, that web pages & such have become the 90's equivalent of finger files. The crowd I was in during the 80s were heavily into finger files in the same way that the rest of the world seems into the web now. Talk about knowing the future by knowing the past...
