Socaldia is a "patchwork" game, a sequence of old AD&D modules, Dragon/Dungeon games & the occassional free run. The story isn't nearly so tightly tied as my other game; it is quite episodic, generally lighthearted and with a fairly optimistic world view. The name is a pun on "The So-Called ... Game"; the original was a series of runs a friend did which featured classic Hero NPCs, heros, villains, settings, etc, and he called his the "So-Called Champs Game". Mine game is the "So-Called Fantasy/Dungeon Hero Game". You'll find the odd reference to classic AD&D stuff actually in the game, but don't count on it being identical. I tend to modify stuff I port, so even the games I lift entirely out of old modules is often different.
